For the purposes of quality and shading, this is most certainly excellent work.  The lighting is consistent and the reflection from the eyes in particular aid in giving the viewer a more humanoid type of eye than what the race in specific has to work with.  I like all portions of the body individually: head, wings, upper body, and lower body.  Each is well done.

However, there is one primary issue to my eye: the combination of the upper and lower body create what I'd call a nonfunctional bipedal creature, mostly due to the depicted anchoring of the abdomen to the thorax.  The creature appears almost as if it would need to waddle to move in a bipedal manner, and while this lower body type can work, the upper body proportions would need to lend to temporal hexapod (or in this case, quadruped) movement.  Alternatively, if the abdomen were weighted to be more behind than under the creature, it would appear as more likely to function for bipedal movement.  Since the former is challenging to forecast and the latter is done practically every time someone thinks "humanoid bug," I don't blame the attempt to deviate, and I am glad the abdomen wasn't slapped on as if it was a tail.

Of course, my perspective could be skewed and the abdomen is not as heavily anchored as I think it is.  If that is the case, I believe the shadowing of the legs at the point they connect to the thorax is what's throwing me off.  It almost looks as if it's anchored to the top of the abdomen.

No problem. They most certainly are one of my favourite weapons.
